Favorite Undead Creature

The 13th day of #30DaysofDarkSun is here and the question is "What is your favorite undead creature?".

Undead that fit into the setting always stuck in mind as the most iconic for Dark Sun. Of those, Thrax, Dwarven and Elven Banshees were the most evocative. Of those, I really like Dwarven Banshees. They were featured prominently in several pieces of fiction. The known threat that if your dwarf character died while not tending to their focus and thus became a banshee really brought the world to life.

Robert Schwalb, designer for 4th edition Dark Sun and creator of Shadow of the Demon Lord, had this to say, "I like the Fael a lot. Big hungry undead that gorge themselves on a resource that's already scarce seems setting appropriate to me."
