Favorite City-State

The 9th day of #30DaysofDarkSun is here and the question is "What is your Favorite City-State?".

The Veiled Alliance book did a fantastic job of giving a lot of good information about each of the 7 city-states. The Ivory Triangle also did a great job of highlighting Gulg and Nibenay, but I think Walter Baas' work on the City-State of Tyr book. It really brought all of the factions and locations into focus for the city and gave tons of great adventure hooks. Tyr is a city on the brink of freedom or destruction and the player characters can have huge effects on it depending on their actions.

Robert Schwalb,designer for 4th edition Dark Sun and creator of Shadow of the Demon Lord, had this to say, "Probably Urik. That city gave our group tons and tons of trouble. I’m also partial to Draj, since I spent a lot of time working on the 4e version of the city."
